Lily Charlotte again here to share with you one of my guilty pleasures. Sadly the other sops have issues with X Files fic *sighs dramatically* so this is going to be almost entirely my domain.
X Files was one of the first slashdoms I got into and I have spent many happy years since first discovering its joys reading oooodles of fic. I`ve read happy fic, sad fic, funny fic, crossover fic, fic where Scully has sex and it gets mentioned *shudder* and through out it all I have never found myself lacking yet another new author to fall for or yet another series to sink my teeth into.
Sadly the great days of X Files fanfiction are over. There are still great new stories being written, but the fire that the X Files gave authors dwindled as the series dragged on and now years later many of the best sites have stopped updating or simply disapeared. Luckily there is still enough great sites and fic to keep anyone happy. Here are some of my faves.

| If you`re like me this will also be a much abused site. All the fic is slash and is rated R/N17, for all those days when you want your searches to give you smut each and everytime. | |

| And if you`re really like me you`ll have Krycek days when all you`ll want is a snuggly rat tale to enjoy. This archive needs more but I doubt I could ever be satified when it comes to Nicholas Lea. | |

| One of my all time favourite sites TER/MA or the Truly erotic Ratboy/Mulder Association, has one of the best selections of authors you could hope to find. One of the sites that sadly no longer updates nearly as often as they used to but it still has hours of great reading. | |

| The wonderful Nicole S. also hosts the works of Orithain and Aries on her site, and has some of the best in co-authored X-Files fic anywhere. | |

| You want Mulder slash, you got it. Fairly simple to use site with lots to read. The only sad thing is the standalone stories are no longer being updated. Always worth a visit though. | |

| As you can guess we`re back to Krycek, whom I love. RatB or Red and the Black, hosts M/K slash from a variety of excellent authors. Great place which, sadly, isn`t updated nearly as often as I would want it to. | |
WArm thoughts |
| From the same people that brought us Ratb comes the Sk/K archive. If you love Ratb and Sk/K you`ll love WArm. These are wonderful sites. Easy to use, beautifully laid out, and great fic. | |

| Since the last few links have Krycek-centric, I figured this would be a good place for this. Skinner gets tortured. Pretty much all you need to know other than, here be het! The archivists have been nice enough to collect it all up for us and stick it in its own section (yay!) so bonus points for WT, unfortunately they loose points for not having warnings on threesomes with an f in the mix so you have to still be on your guard. | |

My only complaint is that they haven`t been updated in a veeeery long time (and I`ve been waiting the entire time) so if you can`t handle waiting this is not a good series for you. The two main stories, Ghosts and Lovers are complete series by themselves but Torch has written them two seperate cases where Krycek and Mulder have to sort out their relationship while handling the usual X-File problems. Canon instead of fic that is. Instead of ''we can`t get together because someone might be watching'', the series starts with, well ghosts, and then is followed by Mulder profilling a serial killer. Both of the cases are well written and thought out and are the perfect backdrop to their relationship. All together this is well over a thousand k, so be prepared to settle in. | |

Other than the slight switch in style, which is sooo understandable and less important than the overall brilliance that surrounds the series that I really don`t want to give the impression that there is a some major flaw. If anything, the fact it`s so great makes any tiny slip seems noticeble if only because it`s surrounded by such great fic! I love this series. I can`t imagine anyone missing this one but just in case you have, go read now. |

Anyway, Mulder wants Krycek, asks for Krycek, gets Krycek. Sadly he`s a bit upset with Krycek so some things get done. More Krycekcentric fic really. Slightly different take on what it takes to make a rat and what would make a rat care. Not big on the romance though. | |

| A sequel to ''Wild Justice'' and since MJ Lee hasn`t written much X Files fic I get to write a bit about this too that and it`s long enough to deserve it`s own write up. Though ''Wild Justice'' is left finished this is a very nifty sequel. More romantic, more angst, more Krycek. Mulder isn`t as complex as Krycek in this, honestly I hadn`t noticed until I thought about it, I`m all about the Krycek it seems ^^;; but it`s fun. The relationships involved are complex though, not absurd angst or sappy hearts and flowers. That and Krycek gets snuggles which is nice. |
