Somehow ryo got me to do this too. Smallville started off dripping so much subtext it took me around three seasons to start getting annoyed at the stupidity. Truly it`s only been this last season where I`ve needed to scream things and/or rant for long periods. Still even with very little appeal in the show for me, I can never seem to shake the desire to watch it. Clark is played by hot with tasty lips, even if he can`t act. Lex is sexy evil intelligent, who can act. Endless missing scenes, new perfect situations and things (like AquaLad in restraints begging Lex to get him wet) that require very little to go from WB to soft core porn. Not that I`m implying that`s usually a large stretch.
Anywho, I can handle Lex with anyone so if incest squicks you, tread carefully, also expect lots of funny recs. I`m a sucker for funny smallville.

First off, it`s the Smallville series, sadly there is no where near as much Smallville fic written by Lanning Cook. Which you will agree with me about when you`re done Identical. Second, this is a fairly long series, and you`re going to want to have time to sink into it. So plan for it. Including references to some of the greats of literature, Watership Down, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Alice Through the Looking Glass, the identical series manages to be funny all the way through angst, romance, and everything else you could want in a good series. Seriously I admit there is a slight deus ex machina issue that i would really like to be able to use as an excuse to dislike this fic, but honestly it is too well written in ever regard to have the least bit of an impact on me. Really great at being bad at relationship fun too. Thankfully Clark isn`t too oblivious in this fic. It`s almost like Clark is some kind of man of steel with bravery to match. That and the pet names are really sweet. And it`s reallly really funny. And the plot is all coherent and sane. |

Everything starts of easily enough, Clark and Lex off in the big city together. Stuff of course happens, but how it happens is kinda a give away that Clark isn`t exactly from Kansas. Some sections I`m not as crazy about but this is far too snuggly and romantic to pass up. |
